1st Quater Review Meeting of the Executive Secretaries of State Primary Healthcare Boards and the management of NPHCDA

Today marks the end of the 2-day 1st Quater Review Meeting of the Executive Secretaries of State Primary Healthcare Boards and the management of NPHCDA led by the ED/CEO of the NPHCDA, Dr Faisal Shuaib OON.

In his remarks, the ED applauded the Executive Secretaries for their unrelenting contributions towards PHC service delivery, and particularly for supporting Nigeria to achieve 60% coverage for COVID-19 vaccination. He reiterated that “the successes recorded at the states in terms of primary health care services is what gives us pride as a nation.”
He charged the Executive Secretariat to sustain the tempo in order to achieve the #TranformPHC agenda and attain #UHC.
Dr Walter K Mulombo, World Health Organization (WHO) Country Representative, commended the role of the NPHCDA in providing oversight to the states and pledged WHO’s continuous support to Nigeria’s health agenda.
Highlights of the meeting was the presentation of Plague to Mrs Yunus Sadat Mojisola, @Kwara State Immunization Officer, for her outstanding performance in the January 2023 round of the Immunization Outbreak Response (OBR). Also, the Kwara state Executive Secretary Dr Nusirat Elelu, was recognized as the Outstanding Executive Secretary for her uncommon leadership during the OBR2 response in January 2023.
