DIRECTOR, ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION
Eunice Damisa, the
Director of Advocacy and Communication is from Edo State. She has an MPH from
the University of Liverpool and MPA, PGD Mass Communication, Diploma in
Management all from the University of Lagos. She also has a BA in English and
Literature from the University of Benin.
She currently chairs the Risk Communication and Demand Generation subcommittee
of the National Technical Working Group for COVID-19 vaccine introduction in
Nigeria. She is the Deputy Team Leader, NPHCDA COVID-19 Command Centre and has
been the Head of Secretariat of the Expert Review Committee for Polio
Eradication & Routine Immunization in Nigeria, since 2013.
Prior to joining the public service, she practiced Journalism in Punch
and Concord Newspapers and rose to post of Assistant News Editor at Concord
Newspapers. She started her public service career in 2001 as Chief Social
Mobilization Officer in the defunct National Programme on Immunization (NPI).
In 2012 she was appointed Communication Analyst for the newly established
National Polio Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) and was appointed Deputy
Incident Manager of NEOC in 2016, a position she held till September 2021.
