Mohammed Musa Abubakar



Mohammed Musa Abubakar, the Director of Advocacy and Communication is from Gombe State. She has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A Drama) and Master of International Affairs and Diplomacy (MAID) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.


He attends the Community Health Influencers, Promoters and Services (CHIPS) program documents, Guidelines for malaria Advocacy, Communication and social mobilization Programmes 2014 and National Strategic Health Development Plan II.


  • Providing support to the Risk Communication and Demand Generation subcommittee of the TWG for the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in Nigeria. 
  • Information, Education Communication Materials development/production (Electronic & Print Materials) to support Advocacy, Social Mobilization, and Primary Health Care Programmes (PHC), communications for Polio, Routine Immunization (RI), and Supplemental Immunization Activities (SIAs) and Non-Polio Supplemental Immunization Activities sustained multi-media communication and community engagement.


  • Assisted the Director (Public Affairs) in designing and implementing publicity packages for the population census, birth registration, surveys, and other activities of the commission.
  • Prepare a press release on the activities of the commission.
  • Preparation of draft speeches for the chairman, Director-General, and other functionaries of the commission.
  • Writing of press rejoinders, articles, and feature stories for publication in newspapers and magazines for the Commission.
  • Undertook relations with state and local government councils, traditional institutions, and civil society organizations to solicit resources, and policy support and strengthen the institutional framework for the commission’s activities
