Mr Idris Bello started his career with the Federal Ministry of Labour in April,1986 and rose to the position of Senior Labour officer in 1993.


He worked briefly with the Central Bank of Nigeria as Assistant Manager between 1993-1996 and later joined the defunct National Program on Immunization (NPI) in 2000 as Chief Administrative Officer. NPI merged with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency in 2007. He rose to the position of Director in March, 2020.


He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with a B.SC (Hons) degree in 1984 and later obtained a Masters degree on Public Administration from the University of Ilorin.


He worked diligently in establishing a proper administrative structure especially the registry system in the defunct NPI. He also pioneered the establishment of structured training calendars for the Agency. 


He pioneered the implementation of the policy of cashless fueling and maintenance of the Agency’s fleet. The comprehensive renovation of the Headquarter buildings, establishment and equipping of the State offices happened under his supervision amongst other responsibilities.
