Digital and Innovation Hub (DIH)

Objectives

1
Drive programmatic and institutional decision-making through data aggregation, advanced analytics, and the deployment of innovative tools.
2
Establish and institutionalise a centralised hub to facilitate information exchange and establish new data streams through digital innovations.

Nigeria's PHC landscape is currently hindered by data fragmentation and limited visibility, which ultimately impacts effective service delivery, strategic planning, programme monitoring and informed decision-making.

The Digital and Innovation Hub aims to address these challenges by providing a coordinated platform for all data analysis, aggregation of existing data, and establishment of new data collection streams through PHC digitisation activities under the NPHCDA. It will streamline the deployment of digital tools and technologies that improve the quality and timeliness of health data, support data-driven decision-making, and enhance the overall efficiency of PHC service delivery, for routine and campaign interventions across the country. The hub will work to reduce fragmentation and foster integration, to help position Nigeria's PHC system as a leader in health data innovation and digital transformation
