In January 2024, the NPHCDA launched a Strategic Blueprint (Fig. 1) to steer the Agency “Back to the Basics” of Primary Health Care and facilitate the delivery of the strategic vision (2023–2026) for the health sector to save lives, reduce physical and financial hardship, and ensure health for all Nigerians. The guiding principles for this PHC strategy draw from the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Programme (NHSRIP) and identifies a key enabler as Strategic people-oriented collaborations with sister MDAs, States, Development Partners, Health Workers, and communities.
