Assurance and Compliance Framework

Objectives

1
To safeguard the integrity of resources through continuous audit oversight, systems assurance and real-time financial checks.
2
To support strategic decision-making and accountability through risk-based reviews, investigations and regulatory compliance.

The Audit Assurance and Compliance Framework is the Agency’s institutional foundation for financial integrity and credible Governance. Mandated by enabling provision to independently provide real-time and risk-based oversight on all financial and operational processes.

Structured around three (3) divisions; Prepayment & Systems Audit, Budget Monitoring & Forensic Audit and Grant Compliance, the department validates payment claims, investigates irregularities, monitors budget execution and assures alignment with FGN regulations and Donor fiduciary requirements.

It also provides advisory role to Management through systemic reviews and timely reporting, ensuring accountability and fiscal responsibility in her mandate in making Nigerians healthy.

“We are often unseen but never absent! Every Audit conducted is an intervention aimed at improving operational efficiency, safeguarding public resources and enabling impactful health services” – Gregory Onaghinor, FCA
