In-between Round Activities (IBRA)
Objective
Consistently missing children especially after campaigns for whatever reason, due to migration and insecurity – focuses on vaccination in special places such as nomadic settlements, international borders, motor parks, CMAM sites etc.
The In-between Round Activity (IBRA) strategy targets chronically missed children in high-risk areas with clear evidence of low population immunity. It deploys tailored approaches to reach underserved populations and chronically missed populations. In 2024, the IBRA strategy reached over 2.7m children through seven targeted approaches: CMAM, nomadic, international border interventions, market vaccinations, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and the CIIA approach. Notably, over 175,000 zero-dose children were identified and vaccinated through these efforts.
